Sixth Suspect Charged in Slaying of 3-Year-Old Girl
The Los Angeles district attorney’s office filed charges Wednesday against a sixth suspect in the gang slaying of 3-year-old Stephanie Kuhen.
One count of murder and five counts of attempted murder were included in the complaint against the unidentified 16-year-old, who was arrested Monday afternoon.
Authorities believe the youth was in a Cypress Park dead-end street when gang members opened fire on a car that had mistakenly turned down the street.
The shooting killed Kuhen and wounded her brother, Joseph, 2, and the vehicle’s driver.
Three adults and three juveniles thus far have been charged in the case, which has attracted nationwide attention.
Police said they expect more arrests this week.
