Alta Loma needed all of Jake Hamilton’s 18 saves to slip past Claremont, 13-12, in water polo last Friday. . . . Ricky Jordan turned in a time of 16:48 for the three-mile course to lead Aquinas’ cross-country team in a season-opening victory over De Anza. . . . Zaugie Zamora scored seven goals and Chris Miller made 14 saves in a 16-8 victory over Etiwanda in the Mt. Baldy League opener. . . . Brianne Goodyear had 17 kills, 15 blocks and four digs to lead Cajon’s girls’ volleyball team to a five-game victory over San Andreas League rival A.B. Miller last week.
