Police Are Cracking Down for Speed Enforcement Week
Road warriors beware: Police officers will be cracking down on speeding drivers in Los Angeles County through Sunday as part of a new awareness campaign sponsored by a law enforcement association.
The Peace Officers Assn. of Los Angeles County has named this Speed Enforcement Week, and its members are marking the occasion by working to slow drivers down.
Police officers will pay special attention to drivers who exceed the 25 m.p.h. speed limit around schools.
The group has members from all 49 law enforcement agencies that provide traffic enforcement in the county, including the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol.
