The Hollywood-Lincoln football game Friday was halted in the fourth quarter with Lincoln ahead, 36-13. Officials ejected Hollywood Coach D’Andre Ferguson for using profanity while protesting the actions of some Lincoln players. Ferguson has held practice this week but will not be allowed to coach the Sheiks in their game against Marshall on Friday. . . . Roosevelt and Garfield will renew their football rivalry on Oct. 20, but the East Los Angeles Classic will not be held at the Rose Bowl, as scheduled. Instead, the game will be played at its usual site, East L.A. College, which holds 20,000, because of costs at the Rose Bowl. . . . A week after suffering its most lopsided loss in 15 years, Loyola rebounded with a 27-23 upset of Newhall Hart on Friday at College of the Canyons. A key performance was turned in by Scott Walter, Loyola’s junior quarterback, who broke his right wrist in the season opener and was out for three weeks. Walter returned as a defensive back against Hart and had two interceptions in the fourth quarter. . . . After suffering through a winless season last year, Huntington Park has turned things around under second-year Coach Al Parkhill. The Spartans’ 26-22 victory over Jefferson on Friday improved their record to 3-2.
