Ice Dogs Stay Unbeaten With 3-2 Victory
MILWAUKEE — Hubie McDonough ran his scoring streak to five games Wednesday night, when his goal at 15:14 of the third period proved the game-winner in the Ice Dogs’ 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals.
Viktor Gordiok had a short-handed goal and an assist as the Ice Dogs opened a four-game trip. The victory gave them a 4-0-1 record and the lead in the International Hockey League’s Southwest Division.
Milwaukee’s Sylvain Couturier opened the scoring midway through the first period, beating Ice Dog goaltender David Littman on a power play.
The Ice Dogs answered when John Byce slid the puck past Milwaukee goalie Tom Draper.
The Ice Dogs held the Admirals to 23 shots.
