Sherman Oaks : Valley Lawyer Heads Planning Commission
A Sherman Oaks attorney has been elected president of the Los Angeles Planning Commission, it was announced Thursday.
Robert L. Scott, who serves as president of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley and is a past president of the United Chambers of Commerce of the San Fernando Valley, said he is “anxious to assist in the transition from a defense-oriented economy” and to enhance Los Angeles’ leadership in entertainment, manufacturing and international trade.
“Mayor Richard Riordan has made a commitment to make the city more user-friendly and I am looking forward to being very proactive in that regard,” Scott said in a statement.
