David Cruickshank

Cruickshank, from Dana Hills High, played a major role in Saddleback’s 21-16 upset of El Camino Saturday. El Camino was ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 2 in the nation before the loss. Cruickshank was in on five sacks. He was at his best early, getting 3 1/2 of the sacks in the first quarter. Cruickshank, who also knocked down a pass, was in on 10 tackles in the game. He has 33 tackles, including 6 1/2 sacks, and has deflected three passes this season.

Charles Chatman
* Golden West, freshman. He rushed for a season-best 222 yards and three touchdowns as the Rustlers beat Southwestern, 47-30.
