Eric Bautista returned a fourth-quarter punt 48 yards for a touchdown to rally Santiago to a 20-14 victory over La Quinta in a Garden Grove League game Friday night at Garden Grove High.

Bautista fielded the ball on a bounce, broke a couple of tackles at the 45 and ran up the middle untouched the rest of the way to give the Cavaliers the lead for good with 9 minutes 3 seconds left in the game.

Bautista’s heroics followed a La Quinta stand that stopped Santiago on three plays inside the two.
