Trends: Sony Corp. is considering selling a stake in its U.S. operations to the public by the end of next year. The company has hired New York investment bank Blackstone Group to look at several options, including selling a stake in Sony Corp. of America or creating a separate stock for Sony’s Hollywood studios.
