CITY SECTION ROUNDUP : NORTHERN CONFERENCE

Verdugo Hills 30, Hollywood 12--Ethan Slimak threw for two touchdowns and completed eight of 10 passes for 156 yards to lead Verdugo Hills (5-4, 4-2).

Slimak put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Evan Armstrong.

In the third quarter, Slimak connected with Armstrong for a 59-yard reception, setting up a one-yard touchdown run by Slimak on a keeper three plays later.

Verdugo Hills receiver Alex Trevino, who had five receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown, made three interceptions for 61 yards. Trevino’s first theft set up a three-yard touchdown run by Miguel Nolasco (33 yards in 13 carries) on the next play.

Hollywood (3-6, 2-4) scored on touchdown runs of four and 24 yards by Lanell Irby.
