The annual Dino Dash, a fund-raising run to benefit the nonprofit Tustin Public Schools Foundation, brought in about $100,000 this year, officials said, the most in its five-year history.

About 2,400 runners and walkers participated in the Sunday run, and about 5,000 attended the day’s festivities, school district spokesman Mark Eliot said.

Most of the money--about $75,000--will go to pay for science and technology programs in Tustin high schools, officials said. The rest will support various foundation programs.
