Titans Cruise to Victory in Final Exhibition Game

Transfer John Williams made his first appearance in a Cal State Fullerton basketball uniform Monday night, leading the Titans to a 90-80 exhibition victory over the United Arab Emirates national team in Titan Gym.

Williams, who only recently had his eligibility for the season confirmed by the NCAA, scored 28 points in 28 minutes. Williams, a 6-foot-5 junior forward, made nine of 16 shots from the floor and was 10 of 13 from the free-throw line.

Guard Chris St. Clair scored 20 points, making five of eight from the field and nine of 10 free throws. Guard Chuck Overton had 18 points and a team-leading eight rebounds.

The Titans shot 44.8% from the field, compared to 47.4% for the visitors, coached by former Titan Coach John Sneed.

The Titans begin the regular season next Tuesday night at UCLA.
