Ross Wins It for Rancho Santiago

Tremain Ross banked in a 35-foot three-pointer as time ran out in overtime to lift Rancho Santiago to a 95-93 victory over Compton in the consolation final Sunday at the Ventura Tournament.

Compton had the ball and one-point lead with four seconds left but Rancho Santiago’s LaByron Clayton tipped the inbound pass to Ross, who dribbled twice before shooting.

Ross finished with 14 points and Chris Rose had a game-high 31 for Rancho Santiago (4-2). He fouled out with about four minutes left in regulation.
