Thousand Oaks police were looking Monday for suspects in two separate drive-by shootings that occurred over the weekend.

No one was injured in either shooting, and it is unknown whether the two incidents are related.

At 12:35 a.m. Saturday, shots were fired from a gray Cadillac Eldorado as it passed a house in the 2000 block of Hood Drive, said Senior Deputy Luis Obregon of the Thousand Oaks Police Department, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Two cars were struck in the attack during which the suspects allegedly yelled out familiar gang-type words and phrases, Obregon said.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to call the Special Enforcement Detail at 494-8297, or Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK (8255).

At 11:11 p.m. Saturday, eight shots were fired into a home in the 2000 block of San Miguel Circle, Obregon said.

Several shots penetrated the house, narrowly missing the residents in their living room. Eight shell casings were found in the street, Obregon said.

A light-colored, small import car was seen leaving the area.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the department’s major crimes unit at 494-8226, or call Crime Stoppers.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and criminal complaint against the suspects. The caller may remain anonymous and the call is not recorded.
