GARDEN GROVE : Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes Through Garage Wall
A 51-year-old woman was arrested on drunk-driving charges Thursday after she crashed her car through a three-car garage that will have to be demolished, police said.
Marina Moreno of Garden Grove was driving a 1976 Buick Skylark east on Trask Avenue, with her 13-year-old daughter in the passenger seat, when the vehicle careened into an empty three-car garage in the 13300 block of Palm Street. Moreno’s car drove through a wall on the opposite side before coming to a stop in an apartment complex courtyard, just inches from the door of an occupied unit, said Garden Grove Sgt. Frank Hauptmann.
Moreno was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was released on her own recognizance.
A city building inspector determined that the garage would probably have to be demolished.
