Days Inn Gets License for Hotels in China: Under the master license agreement, Days Inns of America Inc. said it will establish Days Inn China to sell franchises for the hotels and to develop marketing and training support for the franchisees. Financial details were not disclosed. Days Inn China will be sponsored by a consortium of Chinese commercial enterprises. The company expects to have 6,000 rooms open or being built within 48 months of the effective date. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval. Days Inns officials said negotiations in the next several months are expected to yield agreements for developing Days Inns in Japan, Argentina, Austria, Egypt, Switzerland and United Arab Emirates. Days Inns is a unit of Parsipanny, N.J.-based HFS Inc.
