Charlton Heston became Moses again for a few brief minutes Thursday, just long enough to part the waters for Northwestern and turn them purple to honor his alma mater’s football team.

Using a staff that he says was the real stick from the movie “The Ten Commandments,” Heston commanded the waters to part so a Universal Studios tram carrying the Wildcats and their coaches could pass from one edge of a moat to the other.

Heston also posed with Coach Gary Barnett and a stone tablet that contained a play and proclaimed “Thou Shall Not Lose.”
