Don’t Blame the Fans, Blame the Free Agents
In reading the Dec. 23 Viewpoint letters, in response to the column by Mike Downey, I note that no one touched upon the real reason for the decline in pro sports attendance not only in Los Angeles but nationally.
It is free agency. How can fans of the home team develop attachment to hired guns, who often do not fully unpack before moving on to even greener pastures?
