PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : Packers Will Go On Without Taylor
Associated Press
Green Bay Packer guard Aaron Taylor tore a tendon in his left knee during Sunday’s 37-20 victory over Atlanta and will be out for the balance of the playoffs.
Coach Mike Holmgren said Taylor will have surgery early this week.
Taylor sat out all of the 1994 season because of the same injury in his other knee.
“It’s not as bad as the other one,” Holmgren said.
Taylor was hurt with 1:04 left in the first half and was carted off the field. He was replaced by Adam Timmerman.
“It’s too bad. It’s a very unlucky set of circumstances. Obviously, he’s upset,” Holmgren said.
