Westminster Coach Dick Katz was a bit worried when Schult committed her second foul early in the Lions’ game with top-ranked Woodbridge Saturday. And Schult did eventually foul out--with about four seconds left--but not before leading Westminster to a 61-59 victory for the title of the Costa Mesa tournament. Schult scored 15 of her 16 points in the second half and had eight rebounds. The Lions trailed, 32-25, at the half. “She was just a major factor in our second-half surge,” Katz said. Schult averaged 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the tournament.
