USC Women Let It Get Away Against Kansas
For the USC women, Tamecka Dixon was too much.
Dixon scored 31 points and grabbed eight rebounds Tuesday to help Kansas overcome a 15-point, first-half deficit in an 82-77 basketball victory over the Trojans before 358 at the Lyon Center.
Dixon was eight for 13 on field goals and 14 for 15 from the foul line. She even made her only three-point attempt.
After USC’s Jodi Parriott made a three-point basket with nine seconds left to cut Kansas’ lead to 80-77, Dixon made a pair of free throws to clinch the victory for the Jayhawks (7-5).
Michelle Campbell led USC (5-4) with 18 points. Erica Mashia added 13.
