Swedlin Back in Agency Business With ICM Move
International Creative Management, moving to strengthen its executive ranks, hired producer Rosalie Swedlin, a high-profile move that marks Swedlin’s return to the agency business after more than a three-year absence.
Swedlin had reportedly been pursued by all of the major talent agencies since deciding recently to give up producing and return to her roots as an agent.
At ICM, she will be a senior vice president and a key member of the agency’s management team, working in all areas of film and television.
For more than 10 years, Swedlin was a top agent at Creative Artists Agency, where she was co-head of the motion picture division. Swedlin represented a number of top directors at CAA, including Barry Levinson and Martin Scorsese.
Swedlin left CAA in late 1991 to set up her production company at Universal Pictures. Last year, she was executive producer of the Spike Lee film “Clockers.” She also produced “Ed,” a Universal film scheduled for release in March.
Swedlin’s production company, Longview Entertainment, is expected to continue under the direction of Nadine Schiff, Swedlin’s partner.
