3 Men Sought in Assault at Residence
Oxnard police are looking for three men who forced their way into an apartment and beat up two residents.
David C. Arveschoeg, 33, and Jessica O. Taylor, 26, received minor head injuries from the assault at 2 a.m. Tuesday at the apartment on the 1500 block of South Oxnard Boulevard, police said.
The three men knocked on the apartment window and door, and then forced their way into the residence when Arveschoeg partially opened the door, police said. Arveschoeg was punched in the face several times and Taylor was hit over the head with a chair, police said.
Just before fleeing in a tan compact car, one of the men displayed a gun and told the victims not to call police, police said.
The first suspect is described as Latino, about 30 years old, 5 feet, 11 inches, 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He was wearing a blue and white flannel shirt, bluejean shorts and an Oakland Raiders hat.
The second suspect is described as Latino, about 18 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches, 140 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a thin build, police said. The third man is also described as Latino, about 18 years old, 6 feet, 1 inch, 170 pounds and with black hair and brown eyes, police said.
