Pedestrian Killed in Crash; Driver Not Cited
A 52-year-old man was struck and killed early Tuesday after darting into traffic for unknown reasons, authorities said.
Robert Sabatasso, 52, of Westminster was walking north on the west side of Magnolia Street near Hazard Avenue about 4:20 a.m. when he suddenly ran in front of a sports car, police Sgt. Bob Amren said. Sabatasso, who was not in a crosswalk, suffered head injuries and died at the scene.
The driver was not injured and was not cited.
