Canyon Classroom--The Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim sponsors a series of afternoon classes for children ages 2 to 12. Sessions include guided nature walks, live animal demonstrations, crafts and take-home materials. Cost for each class is $3 per child. Reservations are highly recommended.
Nature Hikes for Tykes: For preschoolers 2 to 4 years old, their siblings and parents. Class meets Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. This week, children explore animal flight.
Tykes on the Go: For 4- to 6-year-olds, their siblings and parents. Class meets Tuesdayfrom 1 to 2 p.m. This week, young chefs whip eggs and turn flour into dough.
Science in Nature Club: Six- to 12-year-olds meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30-4:30. This week, youths learn about rain forests and take a safari.

Nature Calling--The California Wildlife Campaign (CWC) would like to expand its membership. Members have free access or discount tours at Upper Newport Bay. Contributions preserve Upper Newport Bay and other wildlife areas.
CWC memberships ($13) are tax-deductible, good for a year and get you into nine other California wilderness areas. For more information, call (714) 640-6746.
