Wondering what to get Lemmy for Valentine’s Day this year? How about a potato?

Music: “I like a German band called Skew Siskin [on Giant Records]. They’re excellent, with a girl singer who sounds like Janis Joplin, while the band sounds like AC/DC. I like a lot of the Seattle stuff; I just don’t like the drugs they were doing.

“I like a lot of music that might surprise people: Everly Brothers, Enya, ABBA, the Hollies, Beatles--you name it.”

Food: “Steak, but I have to make the sauce. I like bacon sandwiches, sandwiches with 20 slices of dead pig in it, and a piece of white death. That’s really good.

“I like potatoes, butter, cheese and milk.”

Books and films: “I must own a thousand videos and even more books. I read everything, as long as it reads left to right.

“I like Michael Morecock and Len Deighton, and William L. Shirer is very good in his chosen subjects. For films, I always liked Stanley Kubrick very much, and David Lean, Sam Peckinpah and John Carpenter.”

Gift items: “A Playboy bunny for 24 hours or a bottle of Jim Beam White Label, I’d think. Make that two bottles if you’re not sending the bunny.”
