Flamemaster Reports 35% Rise in 1st-Quarter Profit
Flamemaster Corp., a Sun Valley chemical manufacturer, said its profit for the first fiscal quarter that ended Dec. 31 was $52,389, up 35% from $38,781 in the first quarter a year earlier.
Revenues for the first quarter were $743,306, up 20% from $621,969 in the first quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The company, which supplies the defense and aerospace industries, said the results came after several bad years due to the defense downturn. Of late, though, sales have stabilized and profits have improved modestly, the company said.
