Already Missing the Huddys of KADY
I’m very sorry to see that John and Erica Huddy are having to sell Oxnard UHF television station KADY, Channel 63.
John has put so much of himself into the creation and operation of VCNN--the Ventura County News Network, Ventura County’s only local television broadcast news effort, while Erica has done so much to purchase quality syndicated programming to air on the station. I fear that without their vision, leadership and hard work Channel 63 may return to the useless broadcast property it was before their management and ownership, when it was know as KTIE.
It is especially sad to see John suffer both from poor health--a heart attack--and the heartless attack of a predatory landlord.
I’m sure the entire Ventura County broadcast, cable and news community wishes the Huddys well in whatever they do. We all appreciate what they’ve brought to our community--their dedication and good humor will be sorely missed.
