An 82-year-old woman was killed and a Huntington Beach couple is in stable condition following a traffic accident Thursday evening, police said.

Police said the injuries occurred when a 1986 Mustang, traveling south on Edwards Street, collided with a 1986 GMC Suburban at 6:54 p.m. The northbound Suburban, driven by a 17-year-old Huntington Beach girl who was not identified, was turning left onto Heil Avenue.

Grace O’Bryan, a passenger in the Mustang, died shortly after she was taken to UCI Medical Center, police said. The Mustang was driven by Tom Metzger, 51, of Huntington Beach, police said. He and Rose Metzger, 50, were in stable condition Friday at Long Beach Memorial Hospital with internal and head injuries.
