Torme Returning to Bowl: “Mr. Hollywood Bowl” is back. Turns out that Mel Torme and the Hollywood Bowl have worked out a 1996 performance date after all. He’ll perform Sept. 18 in a show being called “We Celebrate Mel Torme’s 20th Anniversary at the Hollywood Bowl.” Torme holds the record as the longest-running performer at the open-air venue.
