The prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show--called the largest indoor show in the world by its organizers--opens its fragrant doors today in its new location, the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia.

Theme of this year’s show, which runs through next Sunday, is “This Land Is Your Land, Philadelphia in Flower.” Displays mounted by 59 major exhibitors, such as J. Cugliotta Landscape Nursery (pictured right), and 2,000 amateur entries are expected to spread out over the show’s 10 acres.

The first Flower Show Week celebration--more than 50 special programs and offers at museums, restaurants, hotels, theaters and stores--is also being held this year. Information is available from the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau ([800] 611-5960).
