Delta to Keep LAX Reservations Office: The Atlanta-based carrier said it will keep its reservations operations in Los Angeles after an amendment to its lease was approved by airport commissioners. In August 1994, Delta Air Lines Inc. said it would move the operations to an undetermined location because its rent at Los Angeles International Airport was too high. Delta employs 1,600 people in Los Angeles. Under the terms of the revised lease agreement, Delta will rent out a 280,000-square-foot facility that will be converted into air cargo space. “Delta’s expenses will be reduced. And because of that cost reduction, Delta will retain reservations employees,” said Dan Garcia, president of the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners.
