Crash Victim Died of Head Injuries
An Oxnard woman who overturned her car Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway died of head injuries, coroner’s officials said.
Felicia Figueroa, 20, was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m. Monday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, coroner’s officials said.
Figueroa’s passenger, 21-year-old Ed Barraguey of Oxnard, was treated for moderate injuries Saturday and released, hospital officials said.
The accident occurred at 6:45 p.m. Saturday when Figueroa veered into the left lane of northbound Pacific Coast Highway, crossing over the median and rolling her car over the center divider near Nauman Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
The car smashed through a fence and came to rest upside-down in the middle of the frontage area.
