Canal Plus’ $58 million bid for Carolco Pictures’ film library emerged as the winning bid in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. . . . American Greetings said it made an offer to buy rival card maker Gibson Greetings for $292.9 million, or $18 a share. American said Gibson declined to meet to discuss the offer.
