Although fainter than when it passed the Earth three weeks ago, Comet Hyakutake remains bright and is getting brighter, and through a small telescope it is an impressive sight. Look for it in the northwest as soon as the sky is fully dark, shortly after 8:30, to the lower right of the brilliant planet Venus and the Peiades star cluster.
