Hahn Listed in Good Condition After Suffering Fainting Spell
Former Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn was in good condition at an Inglewood hospital Tuesday after suffering a fainting spell at his home.
After losing consciousness, Hahn was transported by ambulance to Daniel Freeman Hospital and was admitted for observation and testing.
Hospital spokeswoman Mary Ellen Stumpfl said Hahn was alert and speaking, but will remain hospitalized for cardiac and other tests. The 75-year-old political legend has used a wheelchair after suffering a stroke in 1987 and had previously had coronary bypass surgery.
Hahn served for 40 years on the county Board of Supervisors, far longer than any other member of the powerful body that controls the nation’s largest county government. He retired in December 1992.
