A stunning collection of 12 evening dresses titled “Gowns for Glamorous Actresses at Their Film Premieres: 1920s-1970” closed the Otis College of Art and Design’s recent 14th annual Critics’ Awards Fashion Show at the Beverly Hilton. Among the standouts: a fawn metallic silk chiffon gown with stole (pictured), designed by Chang Kim with Grace Kelly’s “To Catch a Thief” in mind. Earlier in the evening, the 1,000 guests watched everything from funky street wear, including a Hawaiian-themed line (pictured) done under the watch of mentor-critic Sonia Kasparian from Quiksilver / Roxy, to classic tailored suits march down the runway.
