Robbers who held up a man in a restaurant Tuesday night made off with $100,000 worth of jewelry in a briefcase, police said.

The robbery occurred at 7:30 p.m. in a restaurant on Ventura Boulevard, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Dan Mastrow of the West Valley Division.

He said the man attended a meeting at the restaurant to show the jewelry and was held up by four or five robbers who fled in two cars.
