Mall Jewelry Store Robbed by 2 Men
Two men with guns entered Dejaun’s Jewelry store at The Oaks mall Wednesday morning, threatened two clerks and escaped with a case full of jewelry, sheriff’s deputies said.
No one was harmed in the incident, the second major robbery in Thousand Oaks in as many days. A California Federal Bank on Moorpark Road was held up Tuesday by a man who told a teller he had a gun.
In Wednesday’s theft, the men entered the store--on the mall’s second level--shortly after opening, shut one clerk in a back room and made the second clerk clean out the contents of a case.
Deputies said they do not have a value for the stolen jewelry but said the case was filled with less expensive merchandise.
