Flamemaster Sees Profits Increase Threefold
Flamemaster Corp. saw its fiscal second quarter profits nearly triple despite a 9% slide in revenues.
The Sun Valley-based chemicals concern had net income of $115,670 in the quarter that ended March 31, compared to a $41,241 profit in the same period last year. Second-quarter sales were $746,286, compared to $824,848 a year earlier.
For the six months, Flamemaster’s net income doubled to $168,248, up from $80,022 last year, while revenues remained flat at $1.5 million.
The company said its improved earnings were due to a reduction in legal expenses, and higher profits at PerfectData and Dynamastic Corp., where Flamemaster has sizable stock holdings.
