Urethane Technologies Inc.: The Santa Ana producer of specialty chemicals and polyurethane systems said it lost $593,736, or 6 cents a share, for the first quarter, contrasted with net income of $7,171, or no cents a share, for the comparable 1995 quarter. The company attributed the loss to increased costs of raw materials and a new plant, investment in expanding the sales force nationally, and the impact of bad weather on construction in some parts of the country. Revenue rose 17% to $6.3 million from $5.4 million.
