10 Years Ago Today . . .
. . . More than 3,000 Crystal Cathedral parishioners joined hands, taking part in Hands Across America, a 4,125-mile-long human chain intended to fight hunger.
In the Crystal Cathedral, the human chain snaked up staircases, into balconies, through pews and out the doors of the huge glass church, joining a line on Chapman Avenue as the song “We Are the World” was played.
