Unbridled’s Song Beaten in Peter Pan
Unbridled’s Song, expected to use Sunday’s Peter Pan Stakes as a prep for the Belmont Stakes on June 8, might have run himself out of the last Triple Crown race when he finished second, 2 1/2 lengths behind Jamies First Punch.
The Peter Pan was Unbridled’s Song’s first start since his fifth-place finish in the Kentucky Derby. Unbridled’s Song was expected to run better on Sunday wearing conventional shoes, rather than the bar shoe he wore in the Derby.
Jamies First Punch went by the 3-10 favorite in mid-stretch.
