Opportunities for Volunteering

Catalyst Foundation for AIDS Awareness and Care in Lancaster needs volunteers to help care for people with AIDS or the HIV virus in the Antelope Valley.

Volunteers can join a Buddy Program and be matched with individual patients or help patients with housecleaning, pet care, laundry, transportation and other chores. The group doingsomething, which works with a wide variety of volunteer agencies, needs volunteers for events in June.

Volunteers would take part in events that help visually impaired, deaf, retarded, and inner-city children, as well as AIDS patients. For information, call the doingsomething hotline at (310) 391-3907.
