Tim Shaw, 31, will become director of the South County office of United Way, beginning Aug. 1.
Shaw resigned as executive director of Homeward Bound: The Orange County Homeless Coalition to take the new position. He had served that organization, formerly known as the Orange County Homeless Issues Task Force, for three years.
