In the 1991 Frankie & Johnny (ABC Sunday at 9 p.m.) Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer star as a short-order cook and a waitress who go through the most protracted courtship ritual this side of “Wild Kingdom.” It’s a cute and clever but undemanding piece of business from director Garry Marshall and writer Terrence McNally, who have created a coffee-shop ambience so rife with lovable eccentrics that you half expect the Fonz himself to wander in and order an egg cream to go.

FX2 (KTLA Tuesday at 8 p.m.) is a witty, lively 1991 sequel to the 1986 FX is just as much fun as the original, thanks largely to Brian Dennehy’s gruff ex-cop now getting equal screen time with Bryan Brown’s laid-back special effects expert.

Ultimate Betrayal (CBS Tuesday at 9 p.m.), a 1994 true-to-life TV movie starring Marlo Thomas, Mel Harris, Ally Sheedy and Kathryn Dowling, is an ugly, intense experience, based on a landmark legal case in which two sisters successfully sued their father for sexual and physical abuse, decades after the fact.

Better than most of the Stephen King screen adaptations, the 1990 Misery (CBS Wednesday at 9 p.m.), a Rob Reiner-William Goldman collaboration, has a creepy claustrophobia and a pair of expert performances by Kathy Bates (winner of a Best Actress Oscar) and James Caan. It’s about a pulp best-selling writer who is imprisoned by his “greatest fan” in the snowbound Colorado Sierra.

Gregory K (ABC Saturday at 9 p.m.), a 1993 TV movie, chronicles how 12-year-old Gregory Kingsley (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) in September, 1992, successfully “divorced” his biological parents.

The late Greer Garson had two of the best roles of her career early on in a lively 1940 version of Pride and Prejudice (KCET Saturday at 9 p.m.) and in the sentimental 1939 Goodbye, Mr. Chips (KCET Saturday at 11 p.m.).

The largely overlooked 1986 Touch and Go (ABC Saturday at 11:35 p.m.) is one of Michael Keaton’s best; he’s cast as a Chicago hockey star who inadvertently becomes concerned with a street kid (Ajay Naidu) heading for trouble and ends up becoming involved with the boy’s mother (Maria Conchita Alonso).
