Traveling City Council
Regarding the northeast San Fernando Valley-Los Angeles City Council meeting July 16 at San Fernando Valley Mission College Civic Center (“Showtime in Sylmar,” July 17):
It was blatantly obvious that two very prominent City Council members were absent: Mark Ridley-Thomas and Nate Holden.
We can understand that they probably had other urgent business to take care of, but we feel that this particular meeting was one of the most important ever to northeast San Fernando Valley citizens. Their presence would have made it even more impressive and totally representative.
We wish to compliment and to thank members of the council who did attend and did such a splendid job.
