Two JetHawk errors on one play led to three unearned runs and the Lake Elsinore Storm won, 5-2, before 4,112 at the Hangar, snapping the JetHawks’ three-game winning streak.

The fourth-place JetHawks (27-29) fell 5 1/2 games behind Lake Elsinore in the race for the California League Southern Division second-half title. The JetHawks remain 3 1/2 games behind the High Desert Mavericks for the wild-card spot with 14 games to go.

Sunday’s game was tied, 2-2, with two out and two runners on base in the top of the seventh, when Lake Elsinore’s Bret Hemphill hit a grounder that bounced past second baseman Jason Cook for one error. As the ball rolled into the outfield, both runners scored, and when shortstop Mike Lanza’s relay throw was wild, Hemphill scored.
