2 Crossing Street Hit by Truck; 1 Dies
One man was killed and his companion suffered critical injuries after both pedestrians were struck by a truck on Commonwealth Avenue, traffic investigators said Tuesday.
Jose Servin, 51, of Fullerton and a companion, who was not identified by police, were walking across Commonwealth Avenue near San Carlos Drive about 10:45 p.m. Sunday when they were struck, Police Lt. Jeff Roop said.
Servin died at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton and the woman was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with hip and leg fractures, police said.
The driver of the truck was not cited.
