Forum on Preventing Heart Disease Offered

A free public forum on heart care will be from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. today at the Cypress Senior Citizens Center, 9301 Grindlay St.

Titled “Preventing and Reversing Heart Disease,” the program will be presented by representatives of the UC Irvine Heart Disease Prevention Program.

“Participants will learn effective strategies, including dietary measures and physical activity, as well as some of the safest new therapies aimed at preventing or even reversing hardening of the arteries,” said Phyllis Campbell, a senior center spokeswoman.
